About Malindi

Born and raised on a sheep farm in the South African semi-desert, Malindi has always had an inexplicable love for three things: music, dance and words.

Malindi “sang before she could talk and danced before she could walk.” She started writing songs at the tender age of nine, and by the time she was seventeen, she had completely lost her heart to the process. After double majoring in dance and musical theatre at the Waterfront Theatre School, she returned to full time singing-songwriting and was mentored by some of her songwriting role models, such as Rob Wells and Andrew Rollins.

Malindi has also mentored upcoming songwriters through the ATKV-Crescendo program, of which she was a finalist herself in high school, and through private tutoring.
